These social media assets were created for the Politics Project, a community interest company whose mission is to help educate and engage young people in politics. Much of their work centres around arranging sessions where young people get to meet and discuss issues with politicians. I was provided with the bare bones of a couple of MS Word files and a screenshot from Zoom and asked to come up with something engaging which followed and enhanced the brand. I’d been inspired by some great political collage I’d seen in the press, in the UK and the US, so I decided to use that as a starting point. I brought in bold shapes and print textures and created compositions with a clear typography and a clear message. I also modified and incorporated the existing illustrated characters from the client’s website to add a fun twist and strengthen brand consistency. The new, bold collage style was strongly on brand but offered new possibilities for future design directions.
